Weight Balancing With Nutrition & Somatics

Intimate 10 Person 3-Month Group

I like to call it weight balancing because once your own body is balanced with foods and somatic practices it will increase or decrease the weight you store to a degree that is sustainable for each body. This group is specifically for people who need to, or want to, lose weight but I encourage you to release any number goal. Let your body show you through balanced eating what works for it instead.


My program is like no other because I'm focusing on several key factors: the science between your body's insulin production and fat storage, learning how to eat whole and processed foods to have the smallest impact on glucose, and addressing the underlying emotional needs and unprocessed trauma that drives your food cravings.


When you combine nutritional therapy with somatic therapy you pendulate between rapidly changing your biochemistry (through food) while addressing the emotions that unfurl from weight loss and eating more balanced (through somatics).

What My Program Does NOT Include:

We will not be counting calories, identifying weight loss goals, focusing on portion sizes, or seeing any food as good or bad. No food is morally good or bad. Food simply has the ability to increase or decrease insulin production, which affects how much fat you store or use.


We won't focus on weight loss goals because, once your body is balanced and not dominated by glucose and insulin, it will use the fat everyday to power your thinking, your breathing, and any movement you have - even if you don't want to exercise.


There will be no weight watching, no calorie counting, no weigh-ins, and nothing from that damn food pyramid. We're tossing out the diet culture and learning to commune with our bodies through somatics and food.


What My Program Includes:

I'll teach you the science of your body through understanding which foods impact glucose and insulin and which do not. This is the direct key to your metabolism and fat storage and this allows us to not even worry about calories or portion sizes.


We're understanding fat as an ancient, animal way of storing life force for us to use later. It's benevolent, protective, and a concentrated source of energy that your body is waiting to use.


Instead of "willpower" and "control" we are going to use your cravings as a compass to show us the unmet emotional, relational, and nutritional needs your body is carrying - and how to get them met.


Unshaming your body's fat storage is a big component here because shame is harder to metabolize than any "junk" food you could eat. We will use somatic practices that I've developed to begin befriending the body we're in as we go on this journey together.


What You’ll Get:

  • 3 months of a small group practice with Luis.

  • 2 hour live group sessions each week

  • 3 private 25-minute 1:1 sessions with Luis (1 per month)

  • Ongoing connection through the private Circle platform discussion space

  • Direct support from Luis through voice memos on the Voxer* app. Each participant gets two 5 minute voice memos to Luis per week with a guaranteed 24 hour response Monday - Thursday.
