What's the difference between holistic life therapy & psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a licensed practice that may diagnose and treat individuals who have symptoms that match a psychological diagnosis. Holistic Life therapy is combines certified nutrition, counseling, & somatic therapies to address the whole individual. There is no diagnosing or treating with medication.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
I do not offer a sliding scale at this time. Still, don't let that stop you from reaching out. Who knows what could happen.
How long does someone work with you?
That depends on the situation and what we're addressing. On average, nutrition clients work with me for 4-6 weeks then every few months or as needed. If you're seeking trauma therapy, it could be anywhere from 3 months to years until the your body, mind, and life feel regulated enough to discontinue therapy.
Do you work with children?
I do not work with children one-on-one. Children are welcome in session with the parents if necessary. Most parents find that their parenting and ability to understand their children greatly improves from working with me.
Do you do bodywork?
I do not do any work that involves laying on a table or touching your body. Part of my Somatic Experiencing™ training integrates touch if the client finds it useful & consents to it when we begin our work. I tend to not use touch because I like to support my client's ability to independently regulate.
Do I have to be vegan to work with you?
No, you do not. Plant-based means my nutritional therapies are based in whole plant foods. Some clients enjoy switching over to a vegan or vegetarian diet, while others find great results and meet their goals while incorporating animal products.
Do you have any testimonies i can read or leave?
